My friend has a 2010 Kia Soul that is overheating. It currently has 250,000 miles. He said he went to a Mechanic and they made him replace the thermostat and the car is still overheating. They checked the radiator fans, coolant temperature sensor and they were all working fine. He said the car is leaking coolant and have to top off coolant every time. Could it be the water pump? What could be the problem? I am somewhat mechanically inclined but I can't pinpoint the exact problem unless I see his car and diagnose. Anything helps.
