I have replaced camshaft pos. sensors, crankshaft pos. sensor, and spark plugs.  I cant get the computer to reset the codes or clear the engine light and red lightning bolt on the dash.  So i actually have 2 questions about it.

1.  How do I clear the error codes?  Ive been told 3 different ways and none of them worked.

2.  If what im being told is true that i need a ecm.  Can I purchase a used one from a salvage yard and get it programmed to my car?

How are u resetting the code ? By a scan tool and which one are you using?

@klob
No I was told to disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 30 seconds then put it on. Ive also been told to disconnect both cable and hold them together for about 4 minutes and put them both on. These have not worked. I dont have a scan tool.

It hard to know the problem without the code ...
Can someone scan the code so we can determine the problem ?

Are the parts you put on it aftermarket? Auto parts store products are bad out of the box most of the time.

And what problems are you having that led to this?

@mrrangerzr1
The codes im showing are:
P0300
P0017
U0402
P0339
P0335
P0300
P0017
P0335

Those were ran when it was just a check engine light.

It now has the red lightning bolt too. It misses and the engine shakes. It has no throttle response and will only go about 10 mph. From what i have read and been told the car is in limp home mode and that is why i have no throttle response.

Have you checked the wiring going to the PCM?

@mrrangerzr1
Only the connections. I unplugged them and plugged them back in. They appear to have a tight connection and the plugs look clean and not fried.
