I have a 2010 Volvo XC60 with the automatic tailgate. It opened just fine and the motor works great, but once it is up it will not stay up. I’ve replaced the gas strut and am afraid the problem is the electronic strut which costs $2,000. Any suggestions on how to fix it without buying the super expensive part. Or if you think the problem is a leak with the hydraulic system. Thanks!

Hydraulic fluid check that is topped up .. going on what happen with my bmw .. had the same problem
