I have a 2011 Toyota Camry XLE V6 with 150k miles. It has dual climate control and the passenger side does not blow cold air when running the air conditioning. The Toyota dealership told my wife a price of around $1500 because they will need to take apart the driver's side dash, but the drivers side works great?? What do you think it could be and why the drivers side?

They probably have to take it apart because that's where the components are located that they need to get to. Each manufacturer is different, but that would be my guess. The passenger side may just be hose routings, etc. but not the actual components.
