Recently the brake, abs, and traction control light came on and stayed on constantly. A neighbor put his scan tool on and the code was internal control failure. He advised that the controller would need to be replaced. We tried to get a new or remanufactured controller from the dealership but none are available anywhere, so we looked for a used one and found the exact same part number of controller. We purchased the used controller and installed it on vehicle. (Controller only, no hydraulic unit). Now when you start vehicle only the abs and traction control lights come on and stay on. He tried to erase codes but the lights come right back on. Codes..... Acceleration sensor missing calibration and vehicle configuration mismatch codes are in abs module. Do you have any idea what needs to be done. Thank you in advance for your time and trouble.

I think the controllers need to be reprogrammed when you install them. Ask a professional mechanic or pay a dealer to do that.
