We have a 2011 Lincoln Navigator THAT RUNS FINE and we had a Check Engine Light that gave us a PO461 (Fuel Sensor Issue). I cleared the code hoping it would not reappear. What then happened was our Fuel Gauge went to EMPTY (Even though the car has almost a full tank AND the miles to empty now display "--Miles to Empty" now. Of course the sync system now displays gas station icons on the map since the car "thinks" the car is empty. Is there a relay of fuse that blew? I can't figure this one out and appreciate any help I can get. I have searched the web and seems everyone that has this problem gave up and just uses the tip meter to see how close they really are to empty. I would love to have this working again. Thanks to all in advance. Love Scotty's advise over the years!!!
Buy some Chevron Techron Plus and put it into the tank.
This should free up the float on the fuel pump and return the gauge back to normal.
This is caused by sulfur content on that arm.....
Use it twice and hopefully this will solve your issue.
