Scotty, I’ve just traded in our 2015 Jeep Compass 2.0 FWD (POS) and purchased my wife a 2011 Lincoln Navigator 5.4 V8 60000 miles on it. 1 owner vehicle that’s been well maintained. My only concerns are OHC with the intermittent engine(that threw me a whirl on my 07 F150 5.4–$2500 tensioner, cover, and timing chain replacement; I got out lucky) and the notorious air ride suspension. Everything I’ve read seems to be a quality vehicle. Of course, I’m curious of what you think of them and what you might recommend other than the standard prerequisite mechanic overview. Be careful with all the electronic stuff they tend to fall apart with age and its a Ford the quality isn't the best but its undoubtedly an improvement from the Fiat Compass you had. Take care of it and it might last a while.
Also the 5.4 on the F-150 is unfortunately known for those kinds of costly repairs.
