Hello, I have a four cylinder 2011 Rav4 limited with around 126,000 miles on it and it is all wheel drive, with an automatic transmission. On the dipstick to the transmission fluid it basically says I never need to change it because it is all wheel drive. What should I do? Also I am looking for some seat covers that will not get in the way of the heated seats. Finally should I change the rear differential fluid and front differential fluid (if it has a front differential, I'm not a car expert haha) Please help
please submit a new question for each issue. Thanks.
"On the dipstick to the transmission fluid it basically says I never need to change it because it is all wheel drive."
This is manufacturer non sense it should be changed every 60 70k miles.
Actually, because of different mechanic risks attrubited to 4wd and AWD systems, online sites say to do maintenance every 30k miles, but I don't know what that really means. I would do some research.
Do not listen to this nonsense of “lifetime fluid”
You should inspect the rear differential in your car and change the fluid once in a while too.
