Scotty,
I have a 2011 Scion xD with 140k miles on it. Yesterday it started accelerating badly and shaking like mad. I plugged my Foxwell scanner in and it told me that cylinder three is misfiring. I’ve taken out the ignition coils and swapped but still getting the same code. Please advise!

So many things cause misfire.
You need to use your Foxwell to do more investigation to narrow down the cause
Get a misfire count for each cylinder. Look at your fuel trims, ignition timing, MAF values, etc...

did you try replacing the spark plugs?
