I have inquired on a 2011 toyota rav, i called the dealership and asked if the car had been in a wreck and they of course looked at the carfax and it failed to mention that it was indeed in a wreck in the past, i also know from one of Scotty's vids that there was a problem with the piston and i forget what the other thing is that it was a factory defect that had to be corrected. my question to you is how can i verify if this recall has been corrected or not before i even think consider before even consider buying this car? i also have every intention of getting a mechanic to check it out and be sure it is ok before purchasing. thanks you!!!

That issue was corrected in 2009. The engine affected was the 2.4 I4, 2011 has the 2.5 I4.
This is actually my dream car as a teen. And, don't worry man- it doesn't affect your toyota rav4. Only the 06-08 rav4 I4. Your Rav4 with the 2.5 engine is extremely durable.
