I almost crashed it when I was test driving it. The first gear was way too sensitive, maybe it’s because it was the v6 but still!
Am worried it might be a problem with the transmission or something.
It felt like one of the two previous owners had driven it hard. Brakes were really dull. Only oil has ever been reported to the Carfax.
Do you guys think it was a good deal with 115000 miles on the 2011 and the v6 5-speed overdrive for $11 500?
What did your mechanic say about it during the pre-purchase inspection?
I did the pre-purchase "inspection" myself, dealers felt oddly trustworthy and I had test driven a few different ones before. So I pulled the trigger. Will be doing more thorough testing once I get a day off. Apparently Toyota transmissions from that generation "shift adapt". It must of adapted to a coked out NYC bumper to bumper maniac. Breaks felt obliterated.
Shift adapt can be cleared can be cleared, so I'll try that when I get a chance.
