I think of getting a Volkswagen Jetta with 84,796 miles, it would be a commuter car and for some long trips. Is it a good car to get or something else?, also it would be my first car

I would say get a different car as Volkswagen's have a ton of electrical issues that can be expensive to repair. Also this was the first year of the new model so that means it would have a ton of issues that would be solved after a few model years. I would say get a 2017 or 2018 model with the 1.8L 4 cylinder engine if you really like the Jetta. My recommended first cars would be a 2009-11 Honda Civic (with Manual if you can), 2005 and up Toyota Corolla, and 2010 and up Toyota Camry.

Look at the civic or corolla. Better reliability and resale value.
