Hi about 7-9 months ago my wife purchased a 2012 Cadillac srx luxury trim. 1 owner, accident free and it’s always had service at Cadillac from looking at the history. At the time the car had 86k miles on it which is low for the year. It’s supposed to have 100k+ age and mileage wise. The car has been fine super smooth no issues. We now have 98k on it and my wife said when she was at the stop light the car felt like it was reversing or moving backwards a little and that was the 3rd time she felt that We do have an appointment for spark plugs and everything for the 100k service coming up in about 3 weeks at a Cadillac dealer but she thinks it’s a transmission issue. Does this sound like a transmission issue ? I have no idea I have a Lexus and haven’t ever had any problem like this. It’s shifting gears fine, nothing is delayed when shifting. Cadillac service sucks. Every advisor is saying they have no idea and haven’t heard of anything like it. They can’t even get the car in for a diagnostics test until our scheduled appointment. I was also thinking maybe we could start with a transmission flush idk. We change the oil every 3,000 miles as well.

No, don't do that. Take the car to a transmission shop and have them check it.

Forget the dealer and have it diagnosed at a transmission specialist(not Aamco or any other chain store).

Either it is rolling back or isn't. Look sideways at other cars or scenery, or down at the lines on the road.

If it does this while you're on the brake then that's very dangerous.
