2012 Chrysler 200 2.4 vvt engine

How can I make a Chrysler 200 start again , the car has been sitting for about a year now with literally a full tank of gas there was no additives put in the gas to keep  , (I know tell me about it) also i know for sure its way past due for an oil change which I'm in the process of doing so myself but the drain plug for the oil is rounded out (it's been a pain) , but there seems to be coolant leaking from the middle of the exhaust I'm guessing from one of the coolant lines or whatever it is haven't looked much into it yet , I changed the throttle body because the lightning bolt symbol was on but turned off after I reseted the battery , now the car was owned by my sister whom didn't put any maintenance on it , n told me the car overheated and it never started ever since whatsoever she says  , now i put a new battery in it and now the car clicks only once but doesn't crank at all and kills the battery , is this an electrical failure or symptoms of a flywheel being jacked up if so should I junk it or invest into it ? ( Apologize for the long paragraph) :whew:

Odds are you don’t want to throw good money after bad, on this vehicle -

Get yourself a big socket and a really long breaker bar, then put the socket on the crank pulley bolt and try to turn the engine 1 full revolution. If it doesn't want to move, then the engine's probably locked up. If the starter was good when the car overheated, then it should at least crank over with a brand new battery.

If it turns over a full revolution by hand, have someone whack the starter with a heavy hammer or piece of wood while you try to start it. If the starter's going bad, this may cause it to crank.

junk it or invest into it ?

Junk it.

Even if it would be a minor issue, I'd have the same opinion.

It's basically a poorly built Mitsubishi Lancer, they're on the same platform.

clicks but doesn't crank

Check if the engine is seized, try to manually turn it over.

If it doesn't turn over - I would not put a new engine in it, it's really not worth it.

If it does - use Scotty's no-crank no-start guide. (he also shows how to check if the engine's seized in it)

Generally, if the temperate creeps up, or the oil light turns on - stop the car, turn it off immediately, call a tow truck.
