Hi Scotty,
I just bought a 2012 Toyota Matrix AWD with 64,000 miles. The manual and oil cap say you can use either 0W-20 or 5W-20. What oil should I use for the best engine longevity? Also, I've heard that the 2AZ-FE engine had problems with oil burning. Mine is not burning any oil, but did Toyota fix the piston ring issue by 2012?

Either oil is fine. The 0W20 will flow better when cold which gives it a bid of an edge. If yours is not burning oil after 13 years I wouldn't worry about it.
