- Hey guys, my mother drives a 2012 Chrysler 200 S with 100k miles. She offered me this car (as my first car) however I would have to pay $100 dollars a week on it until Jan 15 then I’d have to pay an additional 2.5k.
- Is this a good situation or would I be better with something else?
- I’m a student with about $500 to my name.
- note: I live in Pa.

I'm sure your mother believes she is doing a good thing for you, but I would run away from that car. They are terrible. At 100K miles it is pretty much at the end of its useful lifespan and is entering its "endless money pit" stage. You'd be much better off with an old Toyota or Honda. For that matter, many cars that do not exactly have stellar reputations are still going to be better than a Chrysler 200.
