Nah I would not 2012 is the worst year of that generation of Civic I heard. I never drove one but I heard the steering handling ride etc. were very much improved for 2013 and you should test drive one. I also found more complaints for 2012 than 2013, the model year I would go for would be 2013 but maybe you are fine with the ride and handling of the 2012 and yeah they are still very reliable. Make sure to have a mechanic check it either way and also don't pay much I don't think it is worth a dime over 9 grand.
