Howdy,
My daughter's fit with approx 100k miles is up for registration but technicians tells us that it is not ready to be smogged. After numerous drive cycles it is still not ready.
A trusted shop specializing in Hondas determined it was both 02 sensors and replaced them.
After more tedious drive cycles, it is still not ready. Took it back to the shop, which seems very knowledgeable.
After extensive testing, they tell us that it pains them to admit it but they can not determine the problem. They went on to say that the Fit is a very basic car and usually no trouble at all in this situation but they are stymied.
It is with embarrassment that they suggested that we Take it to The Dealer.
Can you help with this vexing problem?

Where the crabby mechanics 9 times out of 10 it means your catalytic converter is worn badly enough that it won't set Mill not ready but not bad enough that it trips to check engine light
