Hi Scotty, I have a 2012 Honda Odyssey exl with 115,000 miles on it. I purchased it used with 103k and within a few weeks started feeling that it shifted hard at 30-40mph and 50-60. I had the transmission drained and refilled and it seemed to help but it’s gotten back to the hard shifting. I took it to a mechanic which stated that it’s going to have a slight hard shift but after researching I have been pointed at the eco(vcm) being a issue. Does this sound like the transmission maybe going out or is the eco (vcm) causing my engine to have the hard shift when going from eco to power. Thanks!
For my experience it's usually the transmission that's off going out. But if you can find a good Honda mechanic who has a dealer scandal and let him road tested, pray it's the computer itself and not the transmission mechanically falling apart
