Scotty I have a 2012 Honda pilot where the radiator thermostat was changed about year ago.
Since then the check engine light has come on multiple times. Each time when hen we take it back to the shop, and they check the codes the computer says thermostat, but our mechanic on each occasion says the thermostat is fine, and just resets computer.
Is our mechanic correct, and if so what else could be causing our issue?

Was an OEM thermostat installed or was it a cheap Chinese knockoff? What code or codes are being generated?
I think it was an after market thermostat.
