2012 Honda Pilot squeaky front brake

6 months ago I installed new front and rear brake pads and rotors on my wife's 2012 Honda Pilot EX-L. Over the last 2 months, the front left (drivers side) wheel has been intermittently squeaking as if the pads are worn down and hitting the squeaker.  I verified it was the front passenger buy having my wife pull forward and brake while I was walking beside the car.  I pulled the wheel and caliper off the front drivers side and the pads and rotor look great, no scratches in the rotor and the squeaker is positioned back behind the pad like it is suppose to be. I also pulled the rear off just in case and that all looks good as well.  At first I thought the metal guard that is directly behind the rotor was a little close and possibly occasionally rubbing on the rotor so I bent that back but that didn't work. Any ideas on what else to check?

sometimes it's just brake dust buildup. Spray everything down with brake cleaner and see if it goes away.

Sometimes pads just don't agree with your vehicle. Try different ones.

You mentioned that the noise is intermittent. Odds are that your rotor is bad. Swap it with passenger side, If the noise goes to there, change the rotor.
