Hey Scotty,

I'm thinking about buying a 2021 Santa Fe. Do you think it will last a long time? I'm currently driving a 2015 Fusion. It has 100k miles and still running well with original parts.

I'd skip on that. Consider a Toyota Highlander.

No Korean cars for me, thanks. Very poor build quality.

Toyota Highlander or Honda Pilot would be better by far.

You are gonna pay more for this car compared to RAV4. I would never do that.

If by long time you mean well beyond 100,000 miles, then most likely not.  Hyundais/Kias generally are OK up to around 100,000 miles or so but their reliability diverges beyond Toyota/Honda well beyond that.  They are not designed or built as well so don’t typically last as long.

If you want the vehicle to last as long as possible, look at a Toyota or at least a Honda.

Stay away from Hyundai completely. They have a class action right now for their motors out of the US plant. They also use cheap parts/electronics.
