Hello,
I am looking at buying a 2012 Honda Pilot EX-L 4WD (it's next to impossible to find FWD in my area) from a dealer. It has and I AT and have a couple of transmission questions.
On the CarFax it lists the transmission as being flushed at 26500 miles and again at 74500 miles. Is having the transmission flushed something to be concerned about? The Pilot currently has 104000 miles on it.
Also, your video says that the transmissions are a little week.Is this a big concern for mostly highway driving and maybe an average of 5000 miles a year?
Thank You,
Chris
For the transmission flush, I assume it has been done at Honda dealers and most likely under warranty. Regardless of that, you should not worry about it if it shifts fine and your mechanic check it out. Make sure you have your mechanic to check the car before buying it. The automatic transmission on Hondas is a weakest point but it does not mean it is bad.
Thank you. I will definitely be checking it out once the dealership's service department is done with it. I'm not sure what they are doing but whatever it is may sway me away from the vehicle.
