2012 Hyundai sonata with 115000 miles on it a good bye? They want 5000

Stay away from those. The 2011-2014 Sonatas are known to catch on fire or have the engines randomly seize up. I learned the hard way a few years ago

It is, if you want to kiss your $5000 good-bye! That car is on its last legs as it’s approaching its end of useful life.
Stay away from that pile of junk & look at a Toyota or Honda instead.
