Hello Scotty and Scotty people, I had my 2012 Kia Optima act up for the first time this past weekend and I can't make any sense of it. It's been a reliable car for nearly 6 years. But this past weekend when we went to park it it started lurching like there was a vacume leak or something. And I went to rev it up a bit to see if it would go away and it did it for a split second but was fine. And then was fine for the rest of the day. Then Monday my wife was taking it to work and she said it stalled out on her and when she started it back up it was fine for the rest of the day. No check engine light came on during all this so I don't even know where to begin. Looking these symptoms online isn't helping much because the vehicle doesn't have other symptoms for clogged fuel or bad cat or spark plugs. Haven't check the plugs yet but those where just replaced nearly 2 years ago and I don't think it should be time to have this replaced. But I'll check anyway. Just wanted to see what anyone else thought about this. Vehicle has nearly 130k don't remember how much exactly.
Get it scanned anyway for stored codes.
Thanks for the suggestion.
If air filter, fuel filter and spark pugs are good and no vacuum leaks, perhaps, PVC valve and MAP sensor should be replaced. Just a thought.
Thanks for the suggestion.
