Hey Scotty.I’am looking to purchase a 2012 Nissan Sentra Spec V from a family member. It has the 2.5l engine with the 6 speed manual transmission. It has 160000 kms ,in good condition. The car has had no issues other than the A/C compressor broke which he will fix. He’s asking $5000.00.Is it a reasonable price and what else should I look for with that mileage on it?
Get a pre-purchase inspection from a good diagnostic mechanic. You want to go into this "eyes open," otherwise much bitterness and recrimination will ensue.
And, IMHO, have the seller fix the A/C first, before handing over your money. Why? The reason cited above.
Good luck.
It's a fairly reliable car with the standard transmission .... unless the owner beat on it.
If you're in a rust-prone area expect the sub-frame bushings to rot out and start an annoying rattle.
Meh, its good for a Nissan. Manual transmission low miles...
