Hi. We love the look and size of the square body 2012 Nissan Pathfinder. Considering trading our 30k mile 2018 Corolla and buying a 2012 Silver Edition Pathfinderr with 50k miles. Any particular things to steer clear of? Would you recommend this year/model? Thanks!!!
It’s for sale at a local Subaru dealership.
Why though? The only reason you would want to get rid of a functioning Corolla would be because it doesn't fit what you use it for. Its definitely a down grade in terms of quality. If you need an SUV, consider the Toyota 4runner/RAV4/Highlander. If I were you I would keep the Corolla or get a RAV4 if you need a 4X4.
Went from just me and a little dog to two adults, an active 8 year old, and three dogs (2 of which are BIG!!!)
Corolla is incredibly dependable. Boring. But dependable. But it’s becoming a tight fit for the family.
What about the Toyota RAV4, Highlander, 4runner, Lexus RX? Those cars can run a long time without issues. The Pathfinder might be OK but they just have so many problems.
In my original post I have links to the Used Car Buying Guide and there you can find a list of the worst car complaints and the Pathfinder is on there for multiple years.
Do not do that.
