Hey Scotty. I have a 2007 Trailblazer 4.2 ltr. With 76000 miles and within the last 2 months we took the car in for a "good grace" maintance since our car has been shaking when sitting ideling at stop lights. They replaced the motor mounts saying it's normal for the Vortec 600 engine to be running like that. Checked the sparkplugs and they were all rusted we thought it had a possible salvage title did a carfax showed normal maintenance. Any suggestions on what the vibration coming from the engine and hitting the steering wheel could be? Also it gets worse when we have the AC on as well.

Please keep in mind I have replaced the sparkplugs and checked the AC fan and then recently a p4022 code popped up could be wrong on the code stating engine running lean. Put in fuel additive and drove it with 2 tanks with Lucas and one with Seafoam. Could be the mass airflow sensor not to sure. Haven't checked the engine air filter could be the cause of the issue

Hey Scotty, I posted awhile ago maybe 2 months ago about my trailblazer stoked you responded. So to correct myself it was bought from a dealership for 10k and a 29% interest "oh well" it's a good car don't get me wrong. Recently we had a fuel pump replacement to then find out there's a exaust leak somewhere and we noticed that the steering wheel shakes or shutters when at idle, along with having the ac on with that winter and recruiting air from the cabin. We've also started hearing a grinding noise possible wheel bearing so we're replacing that. We do a lot of at home work on our cars. So new parts coming soon. My question is what do I need to check/replace for that shaking to stop. Not to sure if we have bad motor mounts since with the ac off as well it shakes not a bad but it's noticable. Had them replaced at a auto shop who replaced one motor and one transmission. I don't know a lot about this car since it's a chevy. I work on Toyota's and Kias mostly. It's got a Vortex 600 or 6000 Engine 4.2ltr V6 keep it pretty well maintained. Had some error codes running to lean got it fixed no trouble codes showing but it's hesitant to start and you can hear a somewhat knocking sound. When turning it over. Also ignition switch seems to be getting stuck so any feedback would be helpful to get some ideas of what to replace that won't make me feel like I bought a money pit. Also she needs new shocks so if anyone has some good air suspension shocks aren't to expensive be great. Update also come to find out 5th owner regular normal maintenance done at dealerships and milage tracked often when getting replaced. Owner's usually had if from 15k to 25k miles from 2007 so dunno if I bought a lemon

could be the mass air flow sensor if it's running lean but more often it's vacuum leaks and on those often the intake manifold gaskets go bad have a pro check that with a smoke machine first

Most of those are lemons GM doesn't make good products anymore and the fact that the fifth owner was the one before you shows you it's not a very good vehicle.but try to find an honest mechanic around you can give you a true analysis of it sometimes I tell people what that keep the thing and sometimes I say no it's a pile of junk get rid of it

Got an update for you. So the car still have a rough idle but it's a lot better replaced the battery and the alternator. Come to find out the tires on my vehicle had been 14 years old had holes vale stems were bad. So they had to have known about that issue right?
