2012 scion xb.114k miles. I already replaced both cv axles. i bought a cv axle from autoze and they gave me the wrong one , i kept on banging it in until i checked and saw it wasnt the right size.i think the banging messed whats inside there. I put a video of the play sound on my youtube channel. Thanks.

Well yes it could have damaged the bearings inside there. The CV axles have a slip ring that has to be the perfect size so you place it in and gently tap the end of the axle with a rubber mallet and then it will snap in place if they sold you the wrong one that didn't fit and you beat the heck out of it and metal was ramming on metal. It could have damage the bearings inside the transmission
