Scotty, I recently bought an M550i. This is a 4.4l V8 with a twin turbo. I get that an electric fan is going to run for some time to cool the engine down from the turbo, but is there like an expected time or target temperature that the car needs to arrive at for the fan to kick off? I'm new to this car and have never owned a car with twin turbos before so want to know what is normal.

Yes, that's all run by computers. If the temperature gets too high it turns the fan on. Even if the car is turned off. It all has to do with software and sensors. Just pray that they designed it correctly and that the sensors work correctly in the fans. Come on when they should
