2012 Toyota 4runner

Scrap the idea of a Subaru Outback, just found a great deal on a 2012 toyota 4runner limited 4wd but it has 128,000 miles. Would a car like this be worth it ? I don't do much off roading but I'm willing to begin as I live very close to many peaks and trails. But I guess my question is it a smart purchase for a long term purchase of about 3-4 years? Are there transmission or engine issues to be concerned about the truck with such milage ?

Thank you in advance! And Happy Holidays!

Along with Scotty, that thing isn't even broken in good yet.

I bought my GX470 at 125k and plan to keep in for several hundred thousand miles, and it is a close cousin to the 4runner, they share many parts like engine and transmission.

That being said, I would get an inspection, and check the frame for rust.

I would change the transmission fluid unless you know it has been done recently.

Toyota's last a lot longer than that if you take care of

Make sure you have the frame thoroughly  inspected for structural rust issues with this or any other older used Toyota/Lexus truck

This model/year had airbag recalls so make sure if the specific one you are considering was affected by this recall or not, and if yes that it has been taken care of.
