Hey Scotty, do you think the new JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON 392 will be more reliable, because of it’s 6.4L V8 Engine (470hp), than the Toyota Tundra with V6?

I doubt it overall Jeep quality is nowhere near Toyotas

It’s the rest of the vehicle you have to worry about.  You always have to look at the complete picture not just the powertrain.  I would not own a Jeep outside of the factory warranty (forget 3rd part warranty) as electronics can go haywire overtime.

The Toyota Tundra, while still new and unproven, has a higher likelihood of better reliability just because Toyota is more deliberate and cautious in their designs and test before releasing/trickling down to the mainstream vehicles.  That engine (TT V6 and 10-speed AT) had already been in the flagship Lexus LS500 for 2018 model year and seems to be holding up.  There were some complaints about turbo lag, but no serious/catastrophic engine damage over that time.  Same goes with the 10-speed AT (which was also used in the Lexus luxury coupe LC500 since 2018 model year) - no issues there.

If buying new, and of the vehicles you listed, I would trust the Tundra (no guarantees since new, but I would bet on it).

Why do you think 2021 Tundra V6 is more reliable than 2021 F150 V8?

I know that the rest of the Jeep is not good. I wanted to know if the engine was also like that.
