Hello Scotty love the Channel. I have a 2012 Toyota Camry SE 2.5L 4 Cyl DOHC 16V w/VVT-i  2wd. 6 speed ECT-i transmission with paddle shifters. Sport tuned Electronic pwr steering. Power assisted fr/solid RD brakes and sports tuned suspension. So 2 Thanksgivings ago were had a bad storm here in Houston I came upon a flooded street stopped was waiting for the line of cars behind me to finish moving so I could back away and fins a different route while waiting a youngster in a lifted truck came barreling through the water and caused such a wake that when it hit the front of my car it bent the license plate popped the front bumper out on the sides front driver wheel well cover popped off in the wheel well. 30 seconds later car started to sputter I was able to back away about 20 ft shut car off immediately and waited about 2 hrs in case anything was wet as soon as I started car started making a bad knocking sound immediately turned off and had it towed home. Neighbor who has a mechanic shop said probably had to replace engine which btw had on 140,000 miles. Said water probably got forced into air intake and into engine. I would if I have to replace it get a new engine from Toyota but can't find away to do that or do you recommend something with low miles used to replace. Own car great shape love to keep it. Right now driving my 2001 Camry CE (Japan mfgr);with only 108,000 miles got it after grandma passed. Email me your thoughts or you can call me at [personal information redacted]. Thank you Sir and keep up the great work.

No one from here is going to call you or email you. (Your phone number has been deleted. It's a very bad idea to post such information in any public forum.) You need to check back on this forum for responses.

I don't think you'll be able to get a brand-new engine from Toyota. Possibly they offer a factory rebuilt engine. You could also look at a remanufactured engine from a company like Jasper, a used JDM engine from Japan, or a locally-sourced low-mileage junkyard engine from a wreck.
