Hello! I just bought a 2012 Toyota Camry with 118,800 miles. I bought it from a private seller here in dandridge Tennessee!! It shifts a little hard I think, but it’s also a different transmission than I'm used to I’m not sure if the previous owners ever changed then transmission fluid, but I was considering changing it before my out of state trip. Is it too late to change it? Is “Valvoline instant oil change” a safe place to get the transmission fluid changed or should I pay a little more and take it to a Toyota dealer? Thank you so much in advance!

No - it is not supposed to do that.
The reason why we do not advise buying 2012-2014 4 cylinder Camrys is bad transmissions.
At first they shift a bit rough and later they begin to shudder - then you're going to need a new tranny.

Sell it onwards (before messing around with the transmission), unless you have an extra $3k laying around you want to put into this car.
Valvoline instant oil change
No, Toyota transmissions hate Valvoline Max Life ATF - Especially the 6 speed you have.
Also, avoid quick lube places, I would not trust them to do a good job.
The correct fluid for your transmission, as far as I remember, is only "Toyota ATF WS".

Why would you go to a stealer?
Find a good independent mechanic.
And again, I would sell this car without touching the tranny!
You do not want to open the rats nest that's the 2012-2014 6 speed.
The warranty extension on these ended about a year ago.
