Hey Scotty, since my GR86 got wrecked I’m looking at getting a 2012 Tacoma.
One owner 213,000 miles. the Toyota dealership I am buying it from is reputable. I’ve bought three new Toyota’s from them in past. Cosmetics are good mechanics on it are good. They are taking quite a bit off the price since I’ve bought from them before. 16k out the door.
could I change the transmission fluid at 200k? Since it’s a Toyota? I would save the old fluid just encase.
There is a high risk changing the fluid at that mileage, if you want to take that risk, go ahead.
Are there service records on it about the fluid being changed? also is it auto or manual? im assuming auto hence this question.
How does it shift now?
Don’t just blindly trust the (even if reputable) dealership!
Did the vehicle pass a thorough pre-purchase inspection, performed by your trusted mechanic?
