Has anyone on here ever worked with or has experience with hp tuners?

I'm looking to get one (when theyre available again) to mess with my Camaro, its a toy car anyway, and I want to get more into the tuning side of cars. I have pretty good knowledge as far as timing tables. fuel tables and being able to understand live data, and I understand Ill need a dyno to really test for power gains. I more want to get this more for educational purposes at first. Its a 3.8 V6 auto, 105k miles, runs great and had the engine oil analyzed and its still in good shape. I have a second motor in the garage that'll be getting built once the OG goes out. Thanks!

You are better off asking about it on the HPTuners forum or maybe the Camaro Forum.  I have been on this forum since the beginning, and to my knowledge hardly anyone tinkers with HPTuners here.  HPTuners can be used to turn off GM’s cylinder deactivation but no one except for me has mentioned that, so I don’t think anyone will chime in on the nuances of tuning via HPTuners.  Maybe they exist on our forum but they have not been vocal.

I kind of figured that, still wanted to atleast mention it here & see who knows what. Thanks

You didn't mention what year your Camaro is. There's always seems to be good HP tuner info in the Camaro forums. 2010-2015 Camaro5, and 2016-current Camaro6.

Sorry, its a 2000

It's been 20+ years since my 4th generation F-body days. I think the forum I used to go to was LS1.com, and another was LS1LT1.com

Hptuners forum is the best place to ask
