We have a 2012 Toyota Tundra 4.6 V8, 158,000 miles. I have the check engine light, 4 low light and trac off light on. Had it on computer says Mass Air Flow Sensor, have now put 3 new mass air flow sensor on. Each time the lights come back on. The third time we took it to Dealership they said the same thing mass air flow sensor. Third time they put the Toyota brand mass air flow sensor on. We get 50 miles down the road lights are back on. Trucks runs fine other than going up a hill, it wants to cut power in and out. I’m beginning to think it is secondary injector pump but not sure. This has been recalled on this model year. But I call Toyota and based Vin number no recall. What do you think this might be?

Help us out here a little. What's the MAF code? Is it a circuit code or a range/performance code?

P0102 is the code, since then we made this post we replaced the check value bank 1. Now we have codes p0174 with addition to the code p0102, slowing on print out likely the mass air flow sensor, but we’ve had 3 new sensors on the truck. When we replaced the check value bank 1 the truck seemed at first to run better and then the truck started again with not getting enough power at incline. Any suggestions?

well obviously it's not the sensor, and the amateurs at Toyota don't know what diagnosis means

yeah find a real mechanic not these jokers. see our FAQ for tips.

there might be a leak in the air flow system, coming from the air intake filter. check for leaks. often times the pcve tube breaks or comes lose.

going deeper there might be problems with fuel system, either fuel injectors or fuel pump not working right. because going the other way, you might have a dirty air filter or a air leak somewhere.
