Hi all,
A friend's 2013 RDX w/ approx 90K miles is making strange noises behind the dash.
1. AC ON/OFF doesn't make a difference (while car is running or off)
2. After shutting off the car it will continue to make the noise for a good 2-3 seconds
3. While parked and driving around, it makes the noise
4. There's no CD in the CD player. Even tried putting one in just to see and no luck there.
Aside from the noise, there's no issues with the car. It's just a pain to deal with according to my friend. Even while playing music, it's loud enough to be considered a bother.

Realize that vehicle has a very complex heating and air conditioning system. There are various solenoids and vacuum actuators inside the dash. And you have to take the dash all apart to find out what's making the noise. And unfortunately when you do take it apart you have to unplug stuff and the noise might go away. Firstly I'd tell him to live with it if everything works good enough
