My girlfriend has a 2013 Chevy Malibu with about 95,000 miles on it and an automatic transmission. She just got a lose of engine power error with check engine light on. After looking on the forums it seems like this is a relatively common thing and many of the people have said the dealerships can’t figure out what to fix or replace to resolve the issue. She hasn’t had it scanned yet but was wondering if you’ve encountered this issue.

Could be many things. Need to run that diagnostic scan.
She’s going to get it looked at tomorrow. Was just wondering if anyone had first hand knowledge of how this issue was fixed. The car isn’t worth much so don’t want her to have multiple things fixed to not solve the problem. Will report back with error codes once she gets them.
like I said, how "this issue" is fixed depends on what is causing "this issue". Presently, you don't have enough information. Finding the cause is step 1.
