I have a 2013 honda crv with only 30k miles. I use it on occasion around town and driving to upstate ny.
I had the coolant changed at honda in 2015 and figure it's time to do it again but want to myself. I have 6 bottles of peak 50/50 coolant in my garage unopened sitting for 8 years. Can I use that or must I use honda coolant? People tell me I can only use honda brand because of aluminium radiator. Is that true or can i use my unopened peak bottles?
I've never seen a radiator that wasn't aluminum.

Brand doesn't matter. I would have to read the label on the bottle to see what kind of coolant it is.
Then I would need to know what is in your car right now. If it's not compatible, or if you don't know, then you will need to do a very thorough flush with water.
Modern HOAT coolants should be compatible with all cars
