Scotty, I have opportunity to buy a 2013 Es 300h hybrid with 37k miles. I have looked at Lexus service records as well as carfax (trust Lexus record more)

mileage seems legit. with low miles, Could that be detrimental to the hybrid battery cells to this point with low use?  I would be paying 20k from a Lexus dealer.

I picked up a 2013 ES-300h a few months ago, and I was lucky. The one I bought had more miles on it than the one you're considering, so it was less expensive. They were all highway miles so felt good about getting it. The lower mileage ones around here in NC started at $20k and up. Still learning about Toyota/Lexus hybrid products so not sure if low use is detrimental or not. At the end of the day, the battery is just one system and it's still just a car, and you still have an engine to maintain, fluids, seals, gaskets etc. along with all the other maintenance. 37k miles is low but $20k is a bit much (IMHO). You've got to decide if it's what you want to buy, good luck.

You can use the Dr Prius app (or similar) to check the health of each battery module. If they are all healthy, it may be a good deal (in this market). If any ate teetering on failure, then maybe not.
