I have a 2013 Ford edge when I speed up real hard it starts jerking and then will start coasting until I stop. An orange engine light comes on when it does this. Sometimes when I go to start up it is acting like it’s starting hard. It has a new battery. I’m assuming it’s having something wrong with The fuel system

Don't assume - diagnose.
The easy stuff would be checking filters and fuel pressure. Also scan for codes and live data.

You could be experiencing a misfire. The CEL illuminated, so that means codes were stored. Check them.
