Hello Scotty!! I have a problem with my Ford Focus mk3 with a 1.6L petrol engine and it has to do with the AC not working i have checked fuses and the relay and they were fine but when I turn the AC on it does not activate the pump. The Focus has about 110 000km(68 350miles). The last owner went to a independent workshop and they have refilled the gas but i have read that if there's not enough pressure it wont turn on. And i don't belive that pressure is normal. Btw its European Focus.
The system will not engage if the pressure is low. Keeps you from burning up the compressor. You need to have the system put under vacuum see if it holds it. If not you have a leak. Need to fix that if you do then have the system properly evacuated and recharged.
