Hey Scotty I’m currently saving to buy a used car but my spending limit is $5k. I can only find a Ford Focus for that price and I used to owned a 2011 Ford Fusion so I thought maybe the focus would be reliable, what do you think about the focus and if you recommend it what year should I purchase is from?

Focuses are awful vehicles. One of my friends had a 2012 focus hatchback and that thing had more transmission problems and engine problems than my Nissan Altima did. I’d go for a 2010 Civic and throw in an aftermarket Bluetooth stereo system to save the headaches or get another 2011 Ford Fusion
Fusions are decent cars that generation of Focus is downright awful run away plus I am in California where car prices are sky high and I found a 2014 listed for $2500 bucks they are worthless the automatic transmissions are garbage. I would get an older Corolla or Civic? 2005 ish.
