Hello, Scotty! My dad purchased a japanese made 2013 mazda3. Do they have common issues with the wheel bearings? There's a lot of noise coming out of the wheel well when driving at low speeds. Same happens when braking. Mechanic changed the brakes, and checked the bearings but he said they were fine.

Well I'm assuming your mechanic is an idiot because you can't really check bearings they will make noise long before they actually wobble and have play. I have a listening device that I hook up and I put them near the bearings all four wheels then run the car and listen to what the device feeds back and I can always tell which bearings are bad that way they won't show where generally until long after they started making noise
