Hey Scotty, are the CVT transmissions in a 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback reliable at all. The one Im looking at only has 60K Miles and Its the Automatic Trans. Thanks
I'm not personally a fan now they are better than the earliest ones that Mitsubishi use but I am not a fan of Mitsubishi transmissions of any sort except for the standard transmissions
These are the exact same ones Nissan used, I don’t recommend it.
some of the lancers came with 4 speed automatics and these usually tend to last more - if you change the ATF frequently.
But in general, over the last decade or so, Mitsubishi has been choosing the worst automatics in existence for their products. That’s only one of the reasons why Mitsubishi is now officially part of the Renault-Alliance (Renault-Lada-Dacia-Nissan-Infiniti) and is to stop car development and manufacturing on their own.
