Hello i just bought a 2013 Mustang automatic gtcs with 60k miles 2 months ago.

I live in wisconsin and now its October, so winter is coming.

I love the car and want to drive it as much as possible. I am not gonna drive it in snowstorms, cause I am not crazy.

The previous owner swapped out the stock rims and tires and i have some very expensive nitto tires and fancy rims.

So along with winter tires i am going to need new rims as well.

The stock tires that are suppose to be on the car are, p245/45r19 98w

I need recommendations for rims and winter tires. I wanted to get goodyear wintercommand ultra tires but, if there are better options please let me know.

I am also going to get car underbelly sprayed down with some rust protection and need recommendations.

The Goodyear WinterCommands are not one of the higher rated winter tires. But that said, any winter tire is going to be far better than even the best all-season tire in the snow & ice.

At the top end I would look at Bridgestone Blizzaks, Michelin X-Ice or Nokians. But the General Altimax or GT Radial IcePro are pretty good budget options.

If you need both wheels and tires I would take a serious look at Tire Rack (I have no affiliation with them).

I live down in Dayton Ohio and have a 2017 V6. If your car has a brake actuated limited slip differential like mine, you might just get all seasons again and call it a day. The traction control does an excellent job keeping the tires from spinning for the most part. I drove mine home in a 5" snow we had last year on pretty crummy highways. I only started running into trouble climbing a hill, mainly because people were going excessively slow, and I had to drive in lower gear to keep it climbing the hill.
