I bought a 2013 Hyundai Sonota 2.4 L, automatic new, it now has167000 miles. The motor was replaced at 100k at the dealership. The traction light started coming on intermittently. Then it started to occasionally shift hard into second or third gear or go into safe mode; not responsive to the pedal for a few seconds. I changed the transmission fluid and it was great for 4 days then started again.
I put the vehicle in ECO mode and everything stopped. Turn ECO mode off and it resumes. Why?
It really needs to be scanned for codes with a high-level scan tool to get an idea what's going on. (A simple OBD2 scanner won't do the trick.) The engine having to be replaced at 100K tells you what kind of "kwality" you're dealing with.
You most likely have electronic issues with the transmission. Have a pro check the transmission.
