2013 Toyota Corolla crank no start

Topic starter

Car has 60,000 miles. Was running fine when parked. Engine cranks over, but wouldn't start. Had it towed to shop. They put new spark plugs in it as they said they were all gas fouled. What would cause a perfectly running engine to foul the plugs and not start? It happened a second time recently, and I held the accelerator to the floor and it started right up, and is running fine again. Any ideas?

Thanks for helping out mate! May I please ask, in future, to post a new answer using the Answer tool down below.
If you reply, not everyone may notice it and moreover, it still shows the other users that this topic is still unanswered.
