Hello,
My 1996 Toyota 4runner sr5 auto v-6 4x4. 215000 miles. Sitting in traffic and engine just shut off. Started right back up. Engine runs perfectly 99% of the time. Occasionally it will have a very slight rough idle in gear. But clears right up. I have the recommended factory spark plugs. Also new fuel filter. I've owned the 4runner almost a year and engine has only shut 1 time. No codes or check engine light.

I would also check for vacuum leaks ..
